Derco Aerospace attributes a year of record growth and sales surpassing $100 million to the expansion of its aircraft platform product lines and the formation of a new subsidiary, Derco Aircraft Sales and Leasing.

The US-based company says the new subsidiary will focus on the commercial aviation sector.

The sales and leasing arm of the business has already purchased two Lockheed Martin L-100-30 freighters which are now operating on humanitarian missions in Africa.

Derco's continued growth in Asia is fueling its plans to set up a base there. Lisa Champagne-Hade, director of sales and customer service, says: "A presence in Asia is key to maintaining and growing new business.

"It also furthers our ability to support our customers."
