Among the UK exhibits are a handful with a special cachet - Millennium Product Status. The products were given the status by the UK Design Council after Prime Minister Tony Blair challenged industry to demonstrate that the UK is the creative powerhouse of the world.
Aerospace products have a fair representation, with British Aerospace leading the way with half a dozen.
Among the BAe products to win the accolade are the wings for the Airbus A340-500/600 widebody family, the silicon vibrating structure gyro (SiVSG), the adjustable size annular retaining assembly and the Virtual Avionics Rig.
The SiVSG is the world's first commercially available micromachined silicon ring gyroscop.
Millennium Products are being featured in UK Government-sponsored exhibitions and a selection will take their place in London's Millennium Dome.
