Bombardier has expanded its mobile response team to cover Middle Eastern business jet operators.
The manufacturer announced yesterday its mobile service is now available to respond to aircraft on ground situations throughout the Middle East. Bombardier launched its service earlier this year, but initially the six-employee technical expert team was not able to respond to situations in the Middle East.
Bombardier has also expanded the team to cover the Learjet 60. Initially only Global and Challenger models were covered. Bombardier says coverage will be further expanded next year to include other Learjet models.
The expansion of the mobile team to the Middle East complements Bombardier's regional service centre, which opened in Dubai in 2003.
Bombardier also announced at the show yesterday the sale of an additional Challenger 605 to charter operator Comlux Management. Comlux now operates 11 Bombardier business jets, including three Challenger 605s.
The additional 605 will be based in Kazakhstan and fly charters to Asia and Europe. Comlux also has bases in Zurich and Moscow.
