With the large-cabin business jet market rapidly growing in the Middle East, Jet Aviation Basel has delivered its first 737-700 Boeing Business Jet outfitted with a VIP Andrew Winch Designs customer interior.

The delivery is the culmination of two years of collaborative work between Jet Aviation Basel and London-based Andrew Winch Designs, and the first of three joint projects being completed by Jet Aviation Basel.

"This was a very exciting project to work on with Andrew Winch Designs," says Elisabeth Harvey, manager interior design department at Jet Aviation Basel. "Our in-house designer, engineering and production teams worked closely with the Andrew Winch interior design team and the result is an astonishing level of elegance in the design with a highly detailed and technically advanced interior."

The cabin of the finished 737-700 BBJ includes a full-size bedroom, an executive lounge, a dining area, a multifunctional lounge, a full galley and a master lavatory with shower and real hardwood floor.

The delivery of the BBJ to an undisclosed customer was the first from Jet Aviation Basel's new widebody completion hangar, which was inaugurated in May 2008.

The hangar is capable of supporting the outfitting of aircraft as large as the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747-8, and has already completed numerous A319ACJ, A320, 737, 757, 767 and 747-400 aircraft.
