FLYDUBAI SERVICES
Low-cost carrier Flydubai has contracted Jet Aviation to carry out technical acceptance procedures and perform delivery services for its fleet of Boeing 737-800s. The airline has so far taken delivery of five of the 54 737s it has on order from Boeing.
HONEYWELL ON OMAN
Honeywell has won a contract from Oman Air to provide MCS-7200 Inmarsat SwiftBroadBand (SBB) satellite communications equipment to allow passengers to access the internet and use their mobile phones and personal digital assistants for text services on all of the airline's long-range flights. Oman Air's Airbus A330s will be the first long-haul aircraft equipped to provide Inmarsat SBB services. "We are confident that the increased amenities for passengers will be a differentiator for Oman Air," says Peter Hill, Oman Air chief executive.
