Cessna has still not decided whether to develop a large cabin, long-range business jet. “It seems like a logical extension of the Citation family, but we are being comprehensive in examining the business case for this aircraft,” says Joe Hepburn, Cessna’s LCC programme manager. It would have intercontinental range and be the largest Cessna business jet. Cessna is carrying out wind tunnel tests to investigate range, speed and stability characteristics. A decision on whether to proceed is expected in the first quarter of 2008.
