The tenth Dubai Airshow opened yesterday morning with record numbers of exhibitors, visitors and VIP guests. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, the vice president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, cut the ribbon to open the event.

Flanked by HH Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates Group and Dubai Airports, the royal entourage was taken on a tour of the static park where over 140 aircraft on display by Virginia Kern, Chairman of show organiser, F&E
