TRW Aeronautical Systems plans to launch a global e-business aerospace marketplace for transactions with customers and suppliers. B2B software specialist Infobank has been selected as TRW's technology provider. The venture will be launched as a company portal, although TRW says other companies can join. Delta Air Lines has formed a new unit, e-Delta, to manage its e-commerce initiatives. Delta is targeting annual benefits of $150 million by 2002, and has also adopted a new web address, delta.com Five major airlines - Air Canada, American Trans Air, Frontier Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and Lufthansa - have chosen RightNowWeb (RNW) as their online customer support system. NASA's new Independent Information Management System, designed by Blueprint Technologies and Global Science and Technology, allowing scientists internet access to Earth Observing System data, is near completion.
