China’s first private airline, East Star, has signed a $10million total component support (TCS) contract with Lufthansa Technik.

The airline started flying in May 2006 with three Airbus 319s. It plans to add six Airbus A320s and 11 short-range Airbus aircraft by 2008. The fleet, based in Wuhan, will be looked after by Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen (LTS). East Star airlines is the Lufthansa Technik group's first A320 TCS customer in China.
