Easyjet to float

UK low-cost carrier easyJet is planning to float on the London stock exchange and New York's Nasdaq market in early 2000. A minority stake in the newly profitable London Luton-based airline will be released, with chairman Stelios Haji-Ioannou and his family retaining most stock. EasyJet is also dropping a complaint to the European Commission about no-frills carrier Go.
