Newcomer Fliteport this afternoon launched its services to the business aviation community. The company plans to provide flight support services including trip planning, permits, handling and fuelling from its base at Dubai International Airport.

Operations manager, Mazher Hussain says: “We are looking to start operations on July1. We are only a few weeks away from having our JAR OPS approval from the GCAA and are finalising our ISO accreditation.

“We are living the ISO way. We want to show we are completely professional and all of our flight planning services are done in-house,” he says.

With all its handling and fuelling partners, Hussain says he wants customer feedback. “We are looking for quality of service and we value customer experience. Certainly with the fuel we want to make sure they get their supply and at a good price in places where it can be difficult,” he says.

“EBACE is a key event because if we aren’t here showing what we can do we’ll miss most of 2008. Our customers are very much here and we’re looking to support people flying into the Middle East and Africa from Europe and America,” explains Hussain.

Oliver Hewson, business development executive, says: “We have built this from the ground up and actively seek feedback.” Currently Fliteport has ten aircraft signed up and Hussain is bullish that the company offers a real alternative to what is currently available.

Hussain adds: “Our fresh approach to trip support will help us capture significant market share of the growing trip-planning industry around the world, which is far from maturity levels. Our clients will find greater efficiencies and better experience through our cutting edge focused web portal.”
