Private charter outfit One Air Taxi has gained an air operating certificate (AOC) from the UK’s CAA – making it the first UK operator offering the Cirrus SR22 G3 four-seat single-engined jet aircraft for public flights.

Based at Fairoaks airport in Surrey, just 30 minutes from London by train, the company has launched its 25-hour ‘Cirrus Card’ - at £850 ($1,700) an hour - which is only charged when passengers are on board and is valid for air taxi flights in mainland UK.

The AOC also licenses the company to operate other owners’ Cirrus aircraft and it is also planning a similar service for owners of Eclipse 500 VLJs.
