AgustaWestland has received an order for one Grand light twin helicopter from Esperia Aviation Services.

The aircraft, configured with six cabin seats, will be used for passenger transport from the Italian business aircraft operator's base at Urbe airport in Rome, Italy.

In April 2008 AgustaWestland and Esperia partnered to develop a helicopter hub at Urbe. Esperia is building new hangars, plus hospitality and office areas, and will provide passenger transport and corporate helicopter management services, while AgustaWestland is establishing a helicopter maintenance centre.

Finmeccanica-owned AgustaWestland has received more than 270 orders for the Grand, which has a maximum cruise speed of 155kt (287km/h) and a maximum range of 800km (432nm).
