New engines and winglets feature in Hawker Beechcraft Services' (stand 7080) new aftermarket upgrade package for the Hawker 800XP midsized business jet.
The Hawker 800XPR package, available exclusively through factory-owned facilities, is intended to provide improved range, better performance in hot and high conditions, and lower operating cost.
It replaces the aircraft's original engines with new-technology TFE731-50R powerplants and targets improved aerodynamics via company-designed winglets. Introductory pricing is being offered until the end of the year, with certification due in the same timeframe.
The new TFE731-50R engines can produce 5,000lb of thrust (22kN), but are flat rated to 4,660lb "to create a robust interstage turbine temperature margin that translates into significantly improved performance and durability", says Hawker Beechcraft. The engines reduce specific fuel consumption by 7% while increasing maintenance intervals, it adds.

At maximum take-off weight, the 800XPR will climb directly to 41,000ft (12,500m) in 25min and can reach 37,000ft 3min faster than the Hawker 800XP.
Meanwhile, potential buyers of select turbine-powered types among Hawker Beechcraft's pre-owned aircraft are being offered the opportunity to limit maintenance costs during the first year or initial 150h of service.
The Hawker Beechcraft Select Pre-Owned Programme covers all scheduled and unscheduled airframe, engines and avionics maintenance and includes initial flightcrew training at FlightSafety International.
"This programme offers our customers greater confidence and encourages potential owners to buy their airplanes from the people who know them best - the people who designed, built, sold and maintained them in the first place," says Mike Ellis, Hawker Beechcraft vice-president, pre-owned aircraft.
Hawker Beechcraft has also partnered Zurich-based ExecuJet to provide delivery and initial phase of operation support to international customers of its turbine-powered aircraft, ranging from the seven-passenger Beechcraft King Air C90GTx turboprop to the super-midsize, composite-fuselage Hawker 4000, which offers seating for up to 10 passengers or non-stop range of more than 5,550km (3,000nm) with four passengers and full reserves.
As part of Hawker Beechcraft Services' wider programme of enhancements, operators of the Beechcraft King Air 90, 200, 300 and 350 models are to gain the option of broadband connectivity via the installation of the Thrane & Thrane Aviator 200 system, with certification due in the fourth quarter.
Hawker Beechcraft has also revealed plans to provide customers purchasing its aircraft with access to MedAire's medical equipment, training and advice.
