The annual European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in Geneva continues to grow since its launch four years ago. This year, the event attracted around 7,700 visitors, more than twice the number who attended the first show in 2001. Exhibition floorspace was a fifth higher than last year. Flight International's sister publication, Flight Evening News, made its EBACE debut, bringing visitors the latest news at 16:30 each day.

US firm Sierra Nevada (SNC) has been awarded a $170 million contract to deliver two Rapcon-X surveillance aircraft to the Finnish Border Guard.
Turkish business jet charter company Air Sapphire has been heavily fined by the US government for flying a Gulfstream GIV to Russia without authorisation.
The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered inspections of the Gulfstream G500 and G600 fleet in response to a “quality escape” involving improperly installed engine-mounting hardware.
