Universal Avionics says the first Dassault Falcon 900B to undergo its flightdeck upgrade programme is almost ready to be returned to the customer.

Unveiled at November 2012's NBAA exhibition, the project, carried out in partnership with Duncan Aviation, sees 25 legacy instruments replaced with a digital avionics suite, including five high-resolution LED screens and two Vision-1 synthetic vision systems.

The first installation is "nearing completion", says Universal, with delivery scheduled for June. Further contract wins are in the pipeline, it adds.

Production of the Falcon 900B began in 1991.
