ViaSat and L-3 are teaming up to provide operators of airliner-derived VVIP aircraft with in-flight connectivity services.

Under the agreement, ViaSat will provide an airborne shipset and global broadband network services while L-3, through its platform integration division, will undertake completions work, including design, installation and certification.

Both partners see the pact as accelerating the implementation of satellite communication systems for operators.
