EgyptAir says that flight MS804 lost radar contact about 3.5 hours after taking off from Paris, and just 10 minutes after entering Egyptian airspace.
The Airbus A320 was at an altitude of 37,000ft, when it “disappeared from radar”, just 10nm after entering the Egyptian airspace, the carrier says in a series of tweets.
The aircraft took off from Paris at 23:09 local time, and lost contact at 02:45. It was scheduled to land in Cairo at 04:05.
EgyptAir says all relevant authorities have been informed, and search and rescue teams have been deployed. There are 59 passengers and 10 crew members on board.
