A report on the restructuring of Egyptair says it should be placed within a holding company via a three-stage plan. The proposals go before the Egyptian prime minister next month. Other plans include the opening up of Hurghada, Sharm al Shaikh and Luxor to foreign airlines, the tendering of a contract to upgrade Sharm al Shaikh airport and a $1.2 million deal with Airport Systems International for navigation aids and lighting at Abu Simbel and Taba.
