The first of three Boeing 777-200ERs for El Al is being prepared for delivery at the US manufacturer's Everett, Washington, plant. All three of the Rolls-Royce Trent 800-powered aircraft will be delivered during the first quarter, and deployed on services from Tel Aviv to New York, London and Hong Kong. El Al will retire three older widebodies as the new twinjets arrive, including two 747-200 passenger aircraft, and one 767-200. Additional 777 orders are being considered.
