Less than a week after its first flight, the sixth production model of the Embraer 170 is making its European debut at Farnborough. The 70-seat regional aircraft, appearing on the static park and in the flying display at the show, will visit European countries on a demonstration tour afterwards.

The sixth aircraft off the production line following first flight in February, it is the first to be equipped with a full interior. Despite delays in the programme, certification is now planned for March 2003 followed by entry into service with Swiss in the next month.
