Embraer delivered 122 commercial aircraft in 2009, a 25% decrease compared to the 162 delivered in 2008.
The Brazilian airframer says it delivered seven ERJ-145s, 22 E-170s, 11 E-175s, 62 E-190s and 20 E-195s to the commercial sector during the 12 months ended 31 December 2009.
Additionally, Embraer delivered 115 executive aircraft in 2009, including three Lineage 1000 aircraft, 18 Legacy 600s, 93 Phenom 100 light jet aircraft and a single Phenom 300. Delivery of the Phenom 300 occurred in the fourth quarter, and represents the start of delivery for the type.
A further seven aircraft were delivered to the defence market in 2009, including one ERJ-135, four Phenom 100s and two E-190s.
In total, Embraer delivered 244 aircraft for the full year 2009, surpassing previous guidance of 242 deliveries. During the fourth quarter alone, the company delivered a total 91 aircraft across the commercial, executive and defence sectors.
Embraer's firm order backlog totalled $16.6 billion on 31 December.
