Brazilian regional jet manufacturer Embraer has more than quadrupled its first quarter income to $105.1 million from $24.1 million in the same period last year.
Revenue for the three-month period ended 31 March grew to $1.06 billion from $992 million, of which 71.2% came from the commercial aviation division.
Embraer delivered 20 commercial in the first quarter, including 11 E-190s, six E-195s, two E-175s and a single E-170.
The company's total firm order backlog increased by $400 million to $16 billion. Firm orders for E-jets as of 31 March totalled 987.
