Seven Phenom 100 very light jets have been sold by Embraer to Executive AirShare, and Premier Aviation signed a contract for four Phenom 100s on Tuesday.

"We considered several very light jets before making the decision to opt for the Phenom 100,” says Premier Aviation managing director Alan Nee. The Leixlip, Ireland-based company specialises in management and sales of helicopters and jets. Their new Phenoms will be delivered in 2009 and 2010 at a value of $11.4 million, based on January 2005 economic conditions.

Executive AirShare, a Kansas City, Missouri fractional ownership company, holds options for seven more jets for a total initial cost of $19.95 million, based on January 2005 economic conditions. That price will double if all options are exercised.

“Embraer is very pleased with Executive AirShare's choice of the Phenom 100 and is happy to offer the right-sized solution for the company's business as it expands its fleet," says Embraer executive vice-president of executive jets Luis Carlos Affonso.

The first delivery is set for mid-2010, and will help satisfy the growing demand Executive AirShare receives six years after the company started. Their fractional ownership programmes offer aircraft access for a set of days rather than the typical number of flight hours, says founder and chief executive Robert Taylor. “Our rapid growth is a testament to the appeal of our unique regional fractional ownership concept and the dedication of our people to providing the highest level of service.”
