Embraer has appointed Japanese trading house Marubeni as its commercial representative in Japan. The move, says Embraer, is designed to give it a "new edge" in Japan's "growing regional aircraft market". Marubeni will act as the in-country sales agent for the Brazilian company's 170/190 regional jet family, for which Japan's Kawasaki Heavy Industries produces wing sections.
