The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has awarded Embraer with a type certification for its Phenom 300 light jet to operate the aircraft in the country.
"This makes it extremely well suited for the needs of dynamic corporations and businessmen in a place like the Philippines where connectivity between the islands of the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region and beyond can be enhanced through corporate jet travel," says Jose Eduardo Costas, Embraer's vice-president for marketing and sales in Asia-Pacific.
The Phenom 300 can accommodate up to 8 people in a standard configuration and is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW535-E engines.
The aircraft is equipped with NBAA IFR fuel reserves and has a range of 1,971nm (3,650km).
In the Asia-Pacific region, Australia, Indonesia and India have certified the aircraft for use in their countries.
