The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a Type Certificate for the Allison 250-C30R/3.
The -C30R/3, which powers the US Army's OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter and uses a full authority digital electronic control (FADEC), is a derivative of the -C47 engines certified for Bell Helicopter's Model 407 and the McDonnell Douglas MD 600N.
