Russian carrier UTair has selected Volga-Dnepr Gulf to provide heavy maintenance for a batch of Boeing 737s.
The agreement covers five aircraft, the first of which has already been transferred to the maintenance provider’s Sharjah facility.
Volga-Dnepr Gulf says the jet will be subjected to a C4 check and six-year inspection regime, as well as compliance modification. Work will be completed by the end of the year.
UTair has chosen the company to perform a range of maintenance, including A-checks, on 737-400s earlier this year.
Volga-Dnepr Gulf had stated, at the time, that the agreement laid grounds for a possible broader and longer-term co-operation.
