Middle East carrier Etihad Airways has selected Boeing’s in-flight monitoring system, Airplane Health Management (AHM), for its five new Boeing 777-300ERs. The deal marks the first time that the manufacturer has supplied AHM at the same time as a customer takes delivery of its first example of a new aircraft type, allowing it to immediately benefit from operational knowledge accumulated by Boeing and other 777 operators. Etihad took delivery of its first 777-300ER on 2 February.
