Eurocopter's Mexican subsidiary has sold three more EC145s to Colombian helicopter services provider Helistar. The country's largest helicopter operator will have a fleet of 21 aircraft - including seven EC145s when the light twin-engine machines are delivered in 2012 and 2013. The eight-seat helicopters will be used for offshore transportation missions to support Colombian oil company Ecopetrol.
Meanwhile. Eurocopter has delivered the first of two EC155s to the police force of China's Dalian province. The twin-engine aircraft will be used for VIP transportation and police air support missions. The second EC155 will be delivered in late 2012. There are currently 16 EC155s operating in China, said the European airframer. The largest operator, CITIC Offshore Helicopter, has 11 of the types. Other operators include the Hong Kong government and the police forces of Guangdong province and Shanghai.
