Euromil, maker of the Mil Mi-38, has opened a tender for new avionics to see the helicopter through certification, director general Vladimir Yablokov says. The move was prompted by the withdrawal of Eurocopter from its 33% share in the programme, leaving Kazan Helicopter Plant and Mil in the project. “Eurocopter was to provide the helicopter with avionics, control units, interior of the cabin and ensure international certification, as well as sales and maintenance abroad,” Yablokov says.
