A joint delegation consisting of most of Europe's major aircraft manufacturers is leaving for China at the end of August with an offer of participation in Sino-Korean plans for a 100- to 120-seat regional jet (Flight International 16-22 August, p8). British Aerospace, Daimler-Benz Aerospace, Fokker, Aerospatiale, Alenia and CASA have agreed on a baseline aircraft specification which they hope will dent Boeing's lead in the region and persuade Beijing to go with Europe.
