British business jet charter operator Chauffair used the opening day of the show to announce an order for an additional two Cessna Excel jets. Last year Chauffair ordered seven new Cessna Excels worth $65 million for delivery in 2001. It has now added a further two to the tally and says the increase results from the success of its fractional ownership Chauffair Share Scheme.

Scheme

By the end of 2001 the fractional scheme will account for a quarter of Chauffair's business according to managing director Nick Probett. Since the scheme's launch last October 10 members have joined. Everyone who has joined the scheme has looked at all the fractional ownership possibilities operating in Europe and has chosen Chauffair Share.

Established

We are winning clients because we are a British-based, long established public transport operator with a large and flexible fleet. It is also a much easier scheme to join and to leave, says Probett.

Chauffair began licensed charter operations in 1982 and owns and operates the largest fleet of business jets in the UK. Despite Farnborough being Chauffair's home base, this is the first year it has had a presence at the airshow.
