ExecuJet Aviation has delivered the first refurbished Beechcraft King Air B200 for the South African Air Force.
The business aviation services company was awarded a contract in August 2014 to upgrade the SAAF’s fleet of four twin-engined turboprops, which are used by the service for personnel transportation and medical evacuation missions.
“This [first] B200 has been out of operational service for almost three years and has undergone extensive work,” says ExecuJet vice-president for Africa Ettore Poggi. This included the installation of a new interior, including a Garmin G1000 flightdeck, repainting of the exterior and a major maintenance inspection.
The work was undertaken at ExecuJet's Lanseria facility.
