United Airlines has promoted long-time veteran Greg Taylor to senior vice-president, corporate planning and strategy.

Taylor will have responsibility for network planning and revenue management as well as responsibility for cost-control efforts and will set United's revenue-growth targets.

The carrier has also promoted veteran Michael Whittaker to senior vice-president for alliances, international and regulatory affairs and has promoted resource planning vice-president Kevin Knight to Taylor's former post as senior vice-president for planning.

Reporting to Taylor in his new post will be Mike Dingboom, who will become vice-president finance, United Services, United's maintenance and overhaul division that is expanding in third-party work. Dingboom had formerly been managing director for corporate planning at the airline.
