The Royal Australian Air Force has completed a A$32 million ($17 million) partial upgrade to its General Dynamics F-111G bombers. The upgrade, carried out by Lockheed Martin, Tenix Defence Systems and Ball Aerospace, includes a new digital flight control system (similar to that used to upgrade RAAF F-111Cs) and new crash data recorders. A decision on the full modification of the G fleet avionics and mission systems to the upgraded C standard is still awaiting approval.
