Dassault says it is on track for Category II certification of the Falcon 900EX equipped with Flight Dynamics' Head-up Guidance System (HGS) in the first quarter of 1999. Cat III approval is expected in the third quarter. The HGS-equipped Falcon 2000 is already Cat III-approved, and Dassault says that 50% of operators, and 85% of Falcon 900EX customers, have purchased the optional HGS.

The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered inspections of the Gulfstream G500 and G600 fleet in response to a “quality escape” involving improperly installed engine-mounting hardware.
