This giant Emirates Airbus A380 model is being constructed on the London Heathrow northern entrance road. It will replace the one-third scale British Airways Concorde that stood for years at the gateway before BA gave up the prime advertising site.
Built by Penwal Industries of California, the A380 is about one-third scale and arrived at Heathrow in sections, inside an Antonov An-124, in early July. It’s still waiting for its engines to be attached and – at least to us – it looks like that nose isn’t quite on straight…
