Hamilton Sundstrand (chalet D14-16) has signed a trio of maintenance and repair agreements at Farnborough.
The company has been chosen to provide maintenance of Oceanair's APS3200 auxiliary power units on its fleet of 20 Airbus A320 family aircraft. Oceanair is the parent company of Avianca Brazil.
"Hamilton Sundstrand has a long-standing relationship with Avianca, and we are extremely pleased to add Oceanair to our list of highly valued customers," says Eileen Drake, vice president and general manager of Hamilton Sundstrand Auxiliary Power Systems.
It has also been chosen by TACA Airlines, which has combined with Avianca to form AviancaTaca, to be the maintenance provider for the APS2300 engines on its fleet of 12 Embraer 190 aircraft.
Japan Airlines has also agreed to extend its repair agreement with Hamilton Sundstrand for its Boeing 767, 777 and MD-90 fleets for an additional three years.
A subsidiary of United Technologies, Hamilton Sundstrand says it has also ramped up its operations and supply chain to support Boeing's rate readiness needs for 787 production.
