Sargent Aerospace and Defense is in discussions with Chinese manufacturer Comac to become a supplier of the 150- to 170-seat C919 twinjet.
Sargent is a supplier of engineered components for commercial and military aircraft, and has contracts for the Airbus A350 XWB, Boeing 787 and Lockheed Martin's F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

The Netherlands has signed a production order for 12 Airbus Helicopters H225M rotorcraft: two fewer than it had originally planned to acquire for its special forces-support requirement.
Airbus Helicopters has been contracted by joint venture SkyAlyne to provide 19 H135 trainers to the Royal Canadian Air Force as part of Ottawa’s Future Aircrew Training programme.
UK defence officials hope by next April to have awarded a pair of contracts to Leonardo Helicopters and Lockheed Martin to carry out risk-reduction studies as part of a project to enable the Royal Navy’s AW101 Merlin helicopters to fly on until 2040.
