Boeing has completed work on the first private 777. The aircraft, a -200ER powered by General Electric GE90s, has a VIP interior and is expected to be operated by Mid East Jet.

Although Boeing declines to confirm the identity of the owner, Mid East Jet is the most likely as it already operates private new-build 757s and 767s.

The 757, with a 45-seat interior, was delivered in January 1997 and the 767-200ER, with a similar configuration, was handed over in October 1996.

The 777 will be fitted with specially designed, "unique, electrically motorised" 16g VIP seats and divans developed by B/E Aircraft Modular Products.
