Flight International online news 13:00 GMT: Jet owners consortium, Xjet Club LLC is believed to be the first announced customer for Aviation Technology Group's (ATG) high performance Javelin executive jet.
Xjet has signed a firm order for one Javelin, with delivery slated for late-2007, and has an option on an additional three.
The two-seat, twin turbofan jet, which is capable cruising at 960 km/h (600mph), will be used as an alternative aircraft for the club’s members, most of whom are private jet owners.
“Xjet is a new concept for jet owners and travellers who are seeking a more luxurious experience than what is generally associated with fractional-ownership or flight card programs, and charter companies.” said Josh Stewart, Xjet CEO.
“The Javelin Executive Jets will give our members more choice and more flexibility.”
