Emirates will receive the first of 30 Boeing 777-300ERs later this month, equipped with the Boeing/Jeppesen class 3 electronic flight bag (EFB). The Dubai-based carrier ordered the EFB for the 777 fleet in January. The EFB digitally stores aircraft documentation, including charts, and incorporates an on-board performance tool that calculates the aircraft's ideal runway speed and thrust setting. All but four of Emirates' 30 777-300ERs are being leased from GE Capital Aviation Services and International Lease Finance.
