The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Roulette’s display team is set to conduct its last performance with the Pilatus PC-9/A turboprop trainer.
The team’s last display with the type will take place at the Avalon air show, after which the team will transition to the PC-21.
“The Pilatus PC-9/A aircraft has provided excellent service to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) for the past 30 years, training thousands of aircrew from Navy, Army and Air Force,” says minister for defence personnel Darren Chester.
The PC-9 is being replaced by the PC-21. Cirium's Fleets Analyzer shows that the RAAF operates 16 PC-9/As and two PC-9s.
It has 30 in service PC-21s, with 19 additional examples on order.
