Dowty Aerospace has won a multi-million-pound contract from British Aerospace Military Aircraft to design and develop the complete flap actuation system and other flight control equipment for the BAe Nimrod MRA4 maritime patrol aircraft.
The precise value of the contract has not been revealed. The MRA4 is a virtually complete rebuild of the existing Nimrod fleet.
