Airliner net orders came in at 173 for October where 180 new orders were offset by seven cancellations.
State corporation Russian Technologies placed a considerable order for 50 Boeing 737s while Singapore based leasing company BOC Aviation ordered 30 Airbus A320s. India’s low-coast airline SpiceJet ordered 30 737s while US based Air Lease Corporation ordered 15 Embraer 190s. Hong Kong Airlines placed an order for 15 Airbus A350s and also cancelled five A330s.
Boeing totalled 108 new orders in October while Airbus received 49. Embraer and Bombardier totalled 17 and six respectively.
Narrowbody orders totalled 132 with 100 737s and 32 A320s. Widebody orders included 15 A350s, eight 777s and two A330s. The regional aircraft orders were for 17 190s and six Bombardier CRJs.
Overall, the order backlog for airliners ended October at 7,802, up 79 on the previous month.
