German general aviation aircraft manufacturer Flight Design introduced a turbocharged version of its CTLS light sport aircraft at Aero Friedrichshafen, which is designed as a towing aircraft.
The two-seat €92,600 aircraft - dubbed the CTLS HL - is powered by a Rotax 914 engine and has a 12% larger wing and wing area compared with its stablemate.
The aircraft also has a typical empty weight of 350kg (770lb) and a maximum take-off weight of 600kg. A float-equipped version is also planned that will have a MTOW of 650kg, says Flight Design. European certification is set for the third quarter.
