Flydubai will start a new route from Dubai to Dar es Salaam and will add two domestic sectors from the Tanzanian capital to Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro from October.
The Gulf carrier will start daily services to Dar es Salaam on 16 October and will then add a twice weekly service from the city to Kilimanjaro from 17 October and a twice weekly service to Zanzibar from 19 October.
Innovata schedules show Flydubai will be the only operator on the Dubai-Dar es Salaam route but will compete with ZanAir, Ethiopian Airlines and Precision Air on the domestic leg to Zanzibar and with Qatar Airways, Fastjet, Precision Air and RwandAir on the Kilimanjaro sector.
