The European Business Aviation Association has appointed Fabio Gamba as its chief executive. Gamba most recently deputy secretary general of the Association of European Airlines (AEA) will take over the role on 1 September from Brian Humphries, who will remain as president of the Brussels-headquartered trade body.
During his five-year tenure at the Association of European Airlines, Gamba primarily focused on promoting the interests of legacy carriers and established strong ties with the European Institutions and EU member states.
Gamba says: "In order to realise its truly amazing potential and deploy its full benefits to the economy, business aviation needs fair and equitable rules that recognise its specificities.
Having spent the last five years fighting the airline corner, I now look forward to using that expertise to help business aviation grow and develop its vital role in Europe."
