Bid Former Gamesa chief executive Inaki Lopez Gandasegui was last week assembling a joint bid with Spanish savings bank Caja de Ahorros de Castilla La Mancha (CCM) to acquire Gamesa’s aerospace division. Gamesa had set a non-binding bid deadline of 15 September last year for the sale of its aerospace division – which it values at €60 million ($72.2 million) – but no suitable offers were received. CCM says Gandasegui and the bank are working on putting together a definitive offer and “we expect to make a decision within the next few days”.
